Network & Hardware Engineer in Trivandrum

We are seeking a skilled Network & Hardware Engineer to join our team and play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our computer networks and hardware infrastructure. As a Network & Hardware Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of our network systems, troubleshooting issues, and providing technical guidance to colleagues. Your expertise will contribute to the efficiency and reliability of our organization’s IT environment.

Responsibilities:

• Network Design and Installation: Design and install efficient computer networks, connections, and cabling to support the organization’s operational needs.
• Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve system failures and network bottlenecks, ensuring the long-term efficiency and reliability of the network.
• LAN Infrastructure: Inspect and maintain the LAN infrastructure, promptly addressing and resolving minor or major issues.
• Software Testing and Configuration: Test and configure software components to ensure seamless integration within the network environment.
• Hardware Maintenance: Maintain and repair hardware components and peripheral devices to ensure optimal functionality.
• Performance Evaluation: Evaluate network performance using monitoring tools and methods, and recommend improvements for enhanced efficiency.
• Upgrades and Maintenance: Organize and schedule network upgrades and maintenance activities to minimize disruptions and maintain operational continuity.
• Data Backups: Regularly perform data backups to safeguard organizational information and prevent data loss.
• Technical Guidance: Provide technical direction and support to co-workers regarding computer and network usage, offering comprehensive advice and instructions.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, hardware inventories, and troubleshooting procedures.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience of 2-5 years in network and hardware engineering; 3-5 years preferred.
• Strong knowledge of network design, installation, and maintenance practices.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting network and hardware issues and identifying performance bottlenecks.
• Familiarity with LAN infrastructure and the ability to address network problems effectively.
• Experience in testing and configuring software applications in a networked environment.
• Ability to maintain and repair hardware components and peripheral devices.
• Strong analytical skills to evaluate network performance and recommend improvements.
• Organizational skills to plan and schedule network upgrades and maintenance activities.
• Data backup knowledge and practices to protect organizational information.
• Excellent communication skills to provide technical guidance and advice to colleagues.
• Knowledge of networking protocols, IP addressing, and subnetting.
• Certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or related credentials are a plus.
