We are seeking an experienced Cook with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Kerala Cuisine to join our team. The Cook will be responsible for preparing and cooking authentic Kerala dishes while maintaining high standards of taste, presentation, and hygiene. Accommodation will be provided, and male candidates are preferred for this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook a variety of traditional Kerala dishes, following authentic recipes and culinary techniques.
  • Ensure that all dishes are prepared with attention to detail, taste, and presentation.
  • Collaborate with management to create and update the Kerala Cuisine menu, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
  • Source and select fresh and quality ingredients for cooking Kerala dishes.
  • Manage inventory and ensure proper storage of ingredients to maintain freshness.
  • Apply traditional and contemporary cooking methods to achieve the desired flavors and textures of Kerala Cuisine.
  • Adhere to strict hygiene, sanitation, and safety standards in the kitchen.
  • Maintain a clean and organized cooking area, following food safety protocols.
  • Taste and evaluate dishes to ensure they meet the established standards of taste, quality, and authenticity.
  • Present dishes attractively and in line with Kerala Cuisine aesthetics.
  • Pay attention to plate presentation and garnishing techniques.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely preparation of dishes.
  • Accommodate special requests and dietary restrictions while adhering to Kerala Cuisine principles.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of cooking experience, with a focus on Kerala Cuisine.
  • Extensive knowledge of Kerala dishes, cooking techniques, and flavor profiles.
  • Ability to recreate authentic Kerala recipes and flavors.
  • Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
  • Excellent culinary skills and attention to detail in food preparation.
  • Creativity in presenting dishes and exploring variations within Kerala Cuisine.
  • Team player with effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Adaptability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Flexibility in managing various aspects of cooking and food preparation.
  • Male candidates are preferred for this role.
