The GM-Sales will play a pivotal role in overseeing and enhancing various business functions and departments. This position requires a strategic thinker with expertise in sales management and effective team leadership. Reporting to the Business Head, the GM-Sales will collaborate with the sales team to contribute to the success of the company’s growth in the automotive industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and implement a comprehensive monthly and yearly business plan, providing direction for the organization.
  • Collaborate with the production team to align production schedules with sales forecasts, minimizing dead stock and optimizing inventory management.
  • Set ambitious sales targets for the sales team and provide effective motivation and guidance to achieve and exceed goals.
  • Drive strategic planning and development across various business functions and departments for cohesive and efficient operations.
  • Assume overall responsibility for handling sales in modern trade networks, institutions, and open markets.
  • Lead and mentor the sales team, fostering a high-performance culture through training, coaching, and performance evaluations.
  • Develop and execute sales and marketing strategies to enhance market presence and achieve business objectives.
  • Monitor and analyze overall business performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective measures.
  • Stay updated on competitor trends and pricing strategies to inform decision-making and maintain a competitive edge in the market.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a leadership role with a focus on strategic planning and execution.
  • Candidates should have 10+ years experience in FMCG.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field; MBA preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Demonstrated success in driving sales teams towards achieving targets.
  • In-depth knowledge of modern trade networks, institutional sales, and open market dynamics.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment.
  • Keen market intelligence and awareness of industry trends.
