Electrical Design Engineer in Kozhikode

As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and designing electrical systems for various projects. Your expertise in AutoCAD and EPLAN software will be crucial in creating detailed electrical drawings, layouts, and schematics. Additionally, your knowledge of LV switchgear panels, MCC, PCC, ATS, capacitor panels, and control panels will enable you to design efficient and reliable electrical systems. Familiarity with general arrangement drawings and schematic drawings will ensure that your designs meet project requirements and industry standards.

Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed electrical designs for various projects, including LV switchgear panels, MCC (Motor Control Center), PCC (Power Control Center), ATS (Automatic Transfer Switch), capacitor panels, control panels, and synchronisation panels.
• Create general arrangement drawings and schematic drawings based on project requirements and specifications.
• Utilize AutoCAD and EPLAN software to create and modify electrical designs, layouts, and schematics.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in all design work.
• Work closely with the project team, including mechanical engineers, architects, and project managers, to integrate electrical systems into overall project designs.
• Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and contractors to procure necessary components and materials for electrical installations.
• Perform quality checks on electrical designs to verify accuracy, functionality, and adherence to project requirements.
• Address any design discrepancies or issues promptly and efficiently to ensure project timelines are met.
• Prepare technical documentation, including design specifications, bills of materials (BOMs), and equipment lists.
• Generate reports and progress updates for project stakeholders as required.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (B.E./B.Tech) with a focus on Electrical Systems or related fields.
• For Junior Position: 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in electrical design engineering.
• For Senior Position: 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in electrical design engineering.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and EPLAN software for electrical design.
• Sound knowledge of LV switchgear panels, MCC, PCC, ATS, capacitor panels, and control panels.
• Familiarity with general arrangement drawings and schematic drawings.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in design work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Understanding of electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
