A solar energy technician, also called a solar installer, is a professional who installs and maintains solar panels for businesses and residential buildings. They could also help install other various components, like pumps, fans and collectors. This type of work involves some knowledge of construction methods as well as an ability to learn local, state and federal codes for solar panels.
Responsibilities:
- Install solar panels, inverters, and other solar energy system components.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on solar energy systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with solar energy systems, including electrical and mechanical components.
- Repair or replace defective parts as necessary to restore system functionality.
- Test repaired equipment to ensure proper operation.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while working on solar energy systems.
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes and regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of installations, maintenance activities, and repairs.
- Generate reports as required by supervisors or management.
Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (B.Tech) or equivalent OR
Diploma or ITI in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Must possess a valid Two Wheeler license.
